Richard Hansen

Richard is a committed and highly skilled professional with strong ties to the community he proudly serves. Growing up on a mixed farming property in Central Queensland, Richard developed a deep appreciation for honest work, rural values, and the importance of community. His early career as a farrier spanned more than 25 years and took him around the world, where he competed successfully on the international stage. That same grit, passion, and dedication now define his work as a licensed sales agent, and auctioneer.

His passion, combined with his knowledge of both property and personal asset sales, places him in a unique position. As a practising sales agent, and auctioneer, Richard is able to offer a seamless service, clearing properties of chattels before taking them to market. This end-to-end approach is especially valuable for those managing deceased estates, downsizing, or acting under Power of Attorney.

Deeply involved in the community, Richard has been long-standing committee member of the Cooroy Chamber of Commerce and the voice behind many beloved local events and shows across the country. His work as a fundraising auctioneer has helped raise over $350,000 for local charities and causes, including SunnyKids, Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation, and the Cooroy Family Support Centre.
